Mission
To catalyse action for development through social, economic, and zero-hunger attainment — and to enhance the health status of communities on public health issues.
About FANET
A Ghanaian non-profit working with underserved communities to build vocational capacity, advance public health, and end hunger — starting in Somanya, expanding nationally.
Who we are
First Aid Network Foundation (FANET) was founded in 2020 by a group of young professionals from health, management, nursing, social science, and information technology. Three of the seven executive members are women.
We registered as a non-profit company limited by guarantee with the Registrar-General’s Department in Accra on 13 February 2023 (registration CG009620223; TIN C0062630733) — but our work in Somanya started years earlier, with community-led programmes for the children and families around us.
We work in the areas of children, youth, women, education, health, the environment, and economic development. We prioritise giving young people real chances, encouraging their involvement, and building their professionalism so that innovation and prosperity grow from within the community.
